Puppies!
And this time it isn't a joke. Tiga had her puppies last night between 12:00 and 1:30. She went straight from "kind of being in labor" to really pushing. On the way to the vet I kept my fingers crossed that we would not be delivering in the car. (I did have all of the supplies there, just in case.) We made it to the vet and just a few short minutes later Tiga had her first puppy right there on the vet floor. The rest were delivered by c-section. She had five puppies - 2 boys and 3 girls. For being a few days earl they are a very nice size. Three were a little over one pound and two were just a little under. They had a pretty restless night and didn't really start nursing until 6:00 this morning. Now things have quieted down and mom and puppies are doing great and I am going to get some sleep. Here are a few pictures. More will be coming as soon as I am rested and Tiga is cleaned up.

Hey - was the first pup any different than the ones that were delivered through the c-section?
The first puppy was the only one that starting nursing right away. For the first few hours that lucky little girl had all of the spigots to herself. The other four puppies seemed a little bit groggy. After a few hours there was no difference at all.
